Sorry it's been a while since my last update, but I've been busy with work and things.

I've been getting emails about a starter.fps port for the latest TSE.
I do plan on porting it over, but it's a case of trying to find the time to do it.

It's only been in the last few weeks I've had little bits of time to download and setup TSE to use.
Only problem I got at the moment is I can't seem to compile TSE without getting a buch of errors. (yes i've tried fixing them and also looking for help on the GG forums)

As soon as I can compile TSE, the starter.fps and starter.racing ports are the first things on my list.

TSE MS3

TSE MS3 was released on Friday by GG, it includes a load of bug fixes and it's been merged with TGE 1.4

I've made a few changes (fixed the Tab button etc) and everything seems fine now.
I've uploaded a v.1.3.5 if anyone wants to download it...

v1.3.5 for TSE projects using MS3 "Here" (18MB)
(the file size is smaller because I used a better compression setting)

Let me know if you run in to any problems.

Starter.fps port 1.3 with .exe

In case anyone is interested, I've uploaded the latest TSE starter.fps port with an exe and all the other files needed to run it.

The new version can now be downloaded Here (23MB)
Let me know if you have any problems.

Been up to my neck in work lately, so I haven't had a great deal of time to spend on the starter.fps port.

I've made a bunch of changes and fixed a few things...

There’s only one download location at the moment, I'll add download mirrors soon.
Downloads:
Starter.Fps for TSE MS3 "starterfpsport1_3_5.zip" (18MB) (file size is smaller because I used a better compression setting)

Starter.Fps for TSE MS2 or below "starterfpsport1_3.zip" (21MB)

Early version of the Starter.Racing pack

I've released an early version of the starter.racing pack.

TSE owners can find the download link by going to the "TSE Starter.racing download" thread thats on the TSE private forum.

Please post any bug on the forum.

There will be a public release of the starter.racing pack with the .exe very soon.

Update: as of the 20th of march, the starter.racing port as had 329 downloads!

TSE Bounty

About 2 weeks after I started on the Starter.fps port, the folks at Garage Games (the makes of TSE in case you didn't know) put a bounty out for a simple starter.fps to be used in TSE.

Afew days ago Garage Games picked the port I did as the winner of the bounty, so the starter.fps should come as part of TSE in the future. :p

It's also amazing to see theres been over 1000 downloads of the starter.fps and demo files... I was only expecting a few :p

I can't wait to see how the starter.racing pack goes!

Another thing: When I did the starter.fps port, I made an image to submit as an "Image Of The Day" on Garage Games but I changed my mind and forgot about it.
So it's wasen't a total waste of time doing it...

TSE Starter.Racing Port

Ive spent the last few days porting the starter.racing pack over to TSE and it's about 70% working.

The only problem I had was with the speedometer which wasnt letting me drive the car without TSE crashing.
But after I edited out the speedometer (thanks James) Its all working fine.

Main things left to do are, fix the speedometer, re-export the buildings, look for any bugs and take out any code thats not needed. :)

I'll see about releasing an early version in the next few days for people to play around with.

In case people are checking the site for updates, I just wanted to let you know that I am still working on the starter.fps port when I have free time.

With anyluck, I should have the next/final release in a few weeks.

I just wanted to say sorry for the lack of updates, I've been busy with a computer/internet company I'm trying to setup. (Which is eating up my time at the moment)

I'm hoping to be able to spend some time on the starter.fps next weekend... try and sort out the issues posted below.

Been about 10 days since the release of v1.2 and it's already had a hugh amount of downloads (and the site had had almost 600 hits)... thanks everyone!!!

The starter.fps pack is coming along pretty good, I've got a few main things to sort out which are...
Crossbow: The string is the wrong way around, but I might just replace the crossbow with the fancy space gun that was made for fluffy

Trees: the trunks work and now have bump mapping, I just need to sort out the leaf textures for them.

Options: The options don't really work, i'm not sure if it's a problem with the port or if the code isn't in TSE to allow the options to work... I need to look in to it. "cough ask Brian or Ben cough"

Once thats out of the way, I'm deffenetly going to start on the starter.racing pack.

I think theres 2 other people working on starter.fps ports for TSE (because of the bounty) so it will be cool to see how they do it.

After that?
Well, I'm really looking in to porting the RTS kit over to TSE (mainly because I have an idea for an RTS game that would be cool with shaders)
I also have to work on a small game I'm making using TSE (which is the reason I started the starter.fps port) the game is called Battle Grounds it's going to be a ww2 game to help me get started with game dev (more info on the site)...

v1.2 site update

I've updated the links for new v1.2 demo and starter.fps port, Big thanks to Indies@Work for hosting the files!

The starter.fps port is really starting to look great and I'm very excited to be working on it.

I'm having a lot of fun doing it, and I can't wait to have the starter.racing port ready for people to download and play around with!

Starter.fps pack: I've fixed a number of things, deleted files that arn't needed and some other boring stuff, so i'm looking to have the next release done by sunday. (If things go well)
I'm also looking at making a short video (if my pc can handel it)

Starter.racing pack: I haven't done a lot at the moment, theres some big problems which I need to spend a few days trying to sort out.

Website: I've added the download numbers to the download links, I'll keep them updated... I've also add a gallery link, i'm always taking screen shots of what I've done... So now I can upload them for people to see.

Download Stats

The starter.fps and Demo are getting more downloads than I expected...

On filefront.com the demo has had 26 downloads (there was more but I had to delete and re-upload the demo with a bug fix)
And the starter.fps has had 30 downloads.

Last word I got from the mirror 2 server was 14 downloads for the demo and 41 downloads of starter.fps.

I'm just waiting for the stats on server 1

So the current total is:

Demo: 40
Starter.fps: 71
